At the age of six she fell in love with dance after watching a performance at her elementary school. She began taking dance classes at a local professional dance company, Lashars. She assisted teaching for ages 3-8 during her time with the company. She was trained in tap, ballet, and jazz specifically. Upon entering high school she began dancing and choreographing for the nationally acclaimed drill team at Logan High School under the direction of Kara Budge. She was with the team for a year before entering into the Cache Valley Civic Ballet where she studied under Sandra Emile, a retired New York Ballet Company dancer. She choreographed privately and taught classes during her time with the company, as well as competing with her team. During this time she also trained in tumbling with Mindy Metcalf, a retired cheer champion and participated in the broad-way-style production of, “Celebrate America” at Utah State University. After 4 years with Starrsteppers she decided to continue her education in Los Angeles. There she studied under IDA Hollywood: Professional Dance Studio. During her last year in Los Angeles she created and directed a show team, Macabre Belles, comprised of 5 dancers that performed theater style dance routines for Hollywood events and clubs. Recently, she decided to relocate to Kansas, MO to continue pursuing teaching in a studio environment with children and youth.
